The University of Turin (UNITO) is one of the largest Italian Universities, with about 79 000 students, 3858 employees, and 1800 post-graduate and post-doctoral research fellows. Research and training are performed in 27 departments, encompassing all scientific disciplines except Engineering and architecture.
The Department of Cultures, Politics and Society (CPS) employs e.g. social, political and cultural scientists whose studies contribute to in-depth analyses of themes on the border of their disciplines. CPS is acknowledged as a Department of Excellence.
The Department of Public Health and Paediatric Sciences organises and manages research and teaching activities in Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Microbiology, Medical Statistics, Paediatrics, Infantile Neuropsychiatry, Occupational Health, Forensic Health and Nursing Sciences.
The aim of the research activity of the Department of Public Health and Paediatric Sciences is to maintain the health status on an individual and on a community level, improving the quality of care and consequently the population’s quality of life.
